Paralegal/Junior Counsel

• Provide proactive, practical, and timely legal advice to Avid's three Business Units, HR, and finance groups.
• Negotiate agreements with customers, resellers, suppliers, developers, and strategic partners.
• Work closely with internal clients on confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, marketing and advertising, on-line contests, internet law and e-commerce, managed services, consulting and competition law.
• M&A - assisting with due diligence and dissemination of information to internal deal team, working with business partners to resolve problems, and assisting with integration of newly acquired companies.
• Occasional travel (both domestic and international) may be required.
• Distributing Precedents as and when requested.
• Issuing Distributor/Reseller and support agreements
• Maintaining a register of loan agreements for UK and EMEA and chasing sales managers for return of equipment at end of Loan period. Coordinating the European Loan Registers with local offices.
• Drafting Minutes of Board Meetings.
• Research on various topics and new legislation
• Various adhoc projects
