This is a great opportunity to take over and improve the Training & Development function for this fast moving distribution site. Reporting to the HR Manager, this full cycle L&D Manager role will look after the following:
• Setting a business focused training strategy for the site to impact on effectiveness and productivity
• Management development training
• Re-evaluating the current appraisal system and making appropriate revisions
• Induction of new colleagues
• TNA, design, delivery and evaluation of a variety of behavioural and soft skills courses
• Improving the communication channels between colleagues on site and working to promote the value of training across the business
•NB- This is a soft skills training role and there is a separate technical training team in place. While this role is single site based in West Yorkshire, you may be required to travel to other sites occasionally.

Who we're looking for
You will be familiar with the challenges of the distribution environment and keen to make an impact on the success of the business through appropriate L&D practices. You will be a strong coach with excellent motivational skills and be a strong communicator. You will be comfortable with the full training cycle and build relationships with colleagues and senior management with ease. You will be influential and utilise a variety of training methods and practices relevant to specific courses or situations. CIPD/CITP would also be advantageous.
