At the heart of that transformation is AZ Electronic Materials, a young business, having been founded in 2004 as a result of a spin-off from Clariant and expecting to IPO in 2009.

AZ Electronic Materials require an individual to take responsibility for driving and delivering improvements in the Group's reporting and processes, to enable the finance department to deliver quality and informative information to the rest of the business and drive future decision making.

The nature of the role is such that the work will be varied and challenging as new requirements and projects are prioritized. The company needs to continue to develop its systems, processes and reporting in order to meet the demands of becoming a plc. Ongoing projects currently include:

• Continuous improvement of systems and processes to meet requirements of a plc;
• Review and standardisation of reporting throughout the Group;
• Revision and update of the current group cost allocation methodology;
• Standardisation of profit centre reporting as we move to reporting by product line rather than by country;
• Identify reporting requirements and initiate improvements for group statutory reporting;
• Drive departmental/ organizational process improvement initiatives as these arise.

Who we're looking for
AZ Electronics Materials require a graduate calibre qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA accountant with a strong academic track record and 3 years + post qualifying experience. You must show a proven track record of achievement, knowledge, presentation and reporting skills. The ideal candidate will have previous plc experience and be able to work accurately and independently to meet required deadlines whilst also being team orientated. You must possess enthusiasm to drive improvement and have strong communication skills.
In terms of systems you will be advanced Excel and exposure to SAP and Business Warehouse is preferred but not essential.
