This exciting role is ideal for an accomplished tax professional seeking a challenging career move in the oil and gas sector. Working within a dynamic team environment, your responsibilities will be varied and allow you apply your UK and international tax knowledge and experience. This is a senior position with huge potential for the future, including a managerial role.

Your role will be value adding and key to the on-going success of BJ's tax team. More specifically you will be part of a team that is responsible for the following:

• High level tax planning.
• Project work to achieve BJ Services' tax objectives across the region.
• Management of the tax computations and returns for all UK entities and arranging for payment thereof.
• Overseeing the preparation of tax computations and returns for all other entities and branches operating within the region.
• The preparation of the statutory accounts for all UK entities and overseeing the preparation of the statutory accounts for all other entities operating within the region.
• Review and analysis of all tax accounts and provisions in the region.
• Personal taxes for all expatriate employees located in the UK and all UK employees working for overseas entities and branches operating within the region.
• Provide advice and guidance to the operations on all other taxes including VAT, personal taxes, PAYE, NIC, stamp duties and withholding taxes.
• The preparation of audit files for all entities and branches in the region.
• Managing tax queries from HM Revenue and Customs and assisting local BJ personnel in dealing with any other tax inspection, audit or query.
• Review of contracts and bid tenders to provide advice on all tax implications.

This role will see you interacting with Region Controllers, the Finance Team for the region, Operations and external parties such as advisors, auditors and tax authorities. It is diverse and value adding, allowing you to truly make a difference and hold a high profile role within BJ Services.

Who we're looking for
BJ is seeking an ambitious tax professional with a strategic mind. You will have the ability to prioritize tasks to ensure compliance and the effective running of the tax function. Ideally you will have people management experience and international exposure, particularly in Continental Europe and Africa.

You will be a qualified Accountant or Chartered Tax Advisor who has trained in either the profession or industry. Most importantly, you will be a team player who is seeking an exciting career move.
