There is now a rare and coveted vacancy within this popular retail/leisure brand for a site People & Development Manager. Looking after 200+ colleagues, you will have a broad remit to include the following:
• Recruitment of first class staff in a range of roles including management
• Keeping sickness and absence levels at a minimum using proactive methods
• Developing colleagues to enhance their performance and maximise productivity for the business by using TNA, designing, delivering and evaluating suitable courses
• Continual management development and coaching to ensure the business remains one-step ahead of competitors
• Managing all employee relations issues professionally and in line with company and wider legislation
• Writing and reviewing business HR policies and procedures
• Translating group plans to your local level and implementing all HR strategy in line with best practice
• Working with operational colleagues as necessary
NB- This is a single site role, however, you may be required to travel occasionally
NB- You must be competent in BOTH generalist HR and training
Who we're looking for
We are looking for an extremely professional and personable People & Development Manager who can competently balance the demands of business focused generalist HR with producing an effective L&D strategy for colleagues and management, too. You will be influential, articulate, well presented, confident and capable of interacting with colleagues, management and clients with ease. CIPD/CITP would be advantageous.
