Proposition Development Executive

The primary purpose of this role is support the development of Aviva Investors retail proposition strategy, ie executing appropriate product mix, pricing and servicing strategy, customer segmentation and channel strategy. The role holder will support the Proposition Development Manager in developing links to distributors, trade bodies and competitor organisations, in order to contribute to the formation of a 'big picture' view of the retail funds world.
Proposition Development (all asset classes and retail channels):

• Contribute to the identification, research and development of market leading retail investment propositions for the retail market.
• Act as a 'bridge' with the funds industry, bringing back innovation, key trends and themes, best practice and other information.
• Support the development and implementation of business retention plans
• Identify business development opportunities within the main distribution channels
• Work closely with the Retail Product
Management team in maintaining a product set that is fit for the market and meets with client needs and expectations.
• Work with Sales, Marketing and Product Specialists to identify opportunities for improving products and enhancing profitability.
• Assist the various marketing areas with specific campaigns for the product range.
• Conduct sales presentations and product training sessions to the sales force and IFAs where necessary.
• Ongoing benchmarking relative to competitors in terms of channel efficiency, marketing and branding strategy, key profitability drivers, business mix etc.
• Contribute to strategic planning to develop propositions within key distribution channels.
• Act as a primary source for ideas and creative thinking in order to drive the development of the retail business

Who we're looking for
Skills and Knowledge
• In-depth understanding of the retail investment market place, end-customer requirements and the sales process.
• Very good technical knowledge in open-ended fund structures, NURS, QIS, OEICs and unit trusts;
• Very good understanding of the underlying investment management processes.
• 'Big picture' thinking.
• Presentation skills
• Creative thinking Qualifications
• Relevant degree
• IMC preferred

Proven to combine initiative with team ability•working
