Business Partner Finance role in a major bank based in London, City
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Provide financial management and advice as the Finance Business Partner to:
• Corporate lending
• Financial Institutions Group
• Acquisition and Leverage Finance
• Project Finance
• Syndications
• Portfolio Management

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
Reporting to the Head of Financial management and Balance sheet Control

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES/ACTIVITIES/TASKS
1. Production of Management information packs for Institutional Lending, Acquisition and Leverage Finance, Project Finance and Syndications. This includes bespoke analysis specifically required from time to time. Presentation of the packs to the heads of the business.
2. Proactive review of Business Financial Information to provide Finance oversight and Business insight into the results.
3. Provide Finance commentary on a monthly basis on reported results. Sign off month results in the groups reporting system (HFM)
4. Be the key Finance contact for the business Heads and related transactors.
5. Review of Client level reporting (produced by the business) to ensure consistency to financial results
6. Production of Plans, forecasts and other adhoc exercises for the business
7. Close liaison with Lending Administration/ operations to support new transactions being booked into the systems correctly
8. Provide finance review of the statistical provision against lending product
9. Provide finance review of asset quality of lending product
10. Provide the Business with financial advice as required, particularly when presented with new ideas/ products
11. Support Global Portfolio management function with analysis of Lending book and review of Credit hedges

MAJOR CHALLENGES
• Supporting the business in the transition to the new operating model (OWD)
• Moving from Finance based client reporting to data sourced from MPR (almost complete)
• Provide advice to the business on new transactions
• Understanding economic capital and client returns under a Basel 2 environment
• Supporting the Groups European Expansion plans

Who we're looking for
Qualified accountant - ideally ACA but others will be considered
financial Services, ideally invest ment banking, expdefince
Exposure to the banking products set out above in the role description will be an advantage but not essential
