Head of Supply Chain

This is a key role within the global procurement and supply chain organisation within our clients UK business, one that oversees all Supply Chain management activities for one of their Global Business Units. The role will work closely with colleagues in Procurement and Logistics, and across the business, to ensure a key focus on delivering world-class supply chain services, strong delivery performance and efficient control of inventory.

As a recognised Supply Chain expert within the organisation, one of the key accountabilities of the role will be to drive forward substantial change in the supply chain processes. This is a challenging role, which will contribute directly to the growth and profitability of the Company. The role will need to build strong and effective relationships with all ofthe international operations in order to share knowledge and drive continuous improvement.
You will Interpret current and future business models and strategies for this Division, and ensure appropriate Supply Chain solutions are in place. Implement continuous improvement measures for the Supply Chain Management processes within this Division, including related IT tools (e.g. SAP).
Work with global colleagues to embed a consistent "Supply Chain culture" across the Division. Lead and develop the members of the Supply Chain organisation. Develop effective relationships with:
?Sales
?Business Units and particularly BU Managers, Marketing, and Product leadership functions
?Manufacturing Operations, particularly Manufacturing Managers and Production Controllers
?Procurement
?Logistics
?Finance
?IT
You will be responsible for ensuring timely and efficient introductions for new products within the UK Supply Chain activity.
Ensure efficient vendor scheduling and measure delivery performance of direct suppliers.

Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will have excellent leadership, report writing, change management, and communication skills, a previous experience of working in multi site/multi country organisations as well as a track record of improving Supply Chain Management performance. Degree level calibre and professional qualification in Supply Chain Management
