As Estates Manager you will based in North London and support the Group Property Director with the Asset Management of the Group Estate. This is a great opportunity in terms of the autonomy of the role as you will certainly have empowerment and autonomy. You will also have scope to gain additional responsibility as time goes by, and learn about the business. The Group Property Manager does not hesitate to promote the right person who shows commitment and promise.
Key Accountabilities Include;
• Negotiate with necessary agencies and solicitors to carry forward initial agreements relating to the disposal and acquisition of retail outlets through to the point of completion.
• Gather all required information to prepare appraisals for Board approval.
• Be able to Interpret and converse with agents and solicitors in relation to all aspects of commercial leasing.
• Be able to work both inside and outside of the Landlords and Tenant Act.
• Oversee the management of the rent review process.
• Oversee the management of the collection of rent from sub tenants.
• Develop opportunities to derive additional income from the property portfolio by the sub letting of space and other methods.
• Assist with any other property asset projects as required.
Who we're looking for
We are looking for a Property Manager with a good knowledge of the retail sector gained either client side or from an agency background.
You will also possess
• Knowledge of commercial property leasing (essential).
• Working knowledge of asset management in multi site retail is (desirable).
• Working knowledge of the L and T Act is (essential)
• It is critical that you can work inside and outside of the L and T and on a personal level can work remotely and represent the Group.
