Senior Category Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen with my client, a large and increasingly successful Business Services organisation, for a Senior Category Manager to join their Direct Purchasing team. Reporting to the Head of Direct Purchasing the main responsibilities of the role will be:
• Line management for up to two Category Managers.
• Achieve targeted efficiencies and cost savings across a defined area of spend.
• Contribute to the overall development of the Purchasing function and the Supply Chain which is in place to increase the stability and control of the spend throughout the organisation.
• Create, define and implement category strategy for the optimum business result to be achieved.
• Build high-quality relationships with key internal stakeholders to enable effective use of the procurement function and efficient implementation of procurement strategy through the organisation.

Who we're looking for
You will be a target focussed individual with demonstrable achievement of targets historically. You will be keen to develop yourself and your career in a fast moving environment.
You must have experience in commodity purchasing within the manufacturing, automotive or aerospace sectors.
You will also ideally be degree and CIPS qualified.
