To join the very busy team dealing with potential fraudulent claims with a focus on motor/employer's liability/public liability work.
The type of work includes a mix of:
Minimal Impact Cases - Low Speed/Significant Trauma Cases
Staged Cases - Semi and Staged - motor/EL/PL
Contrived Cases - Motor/EL/PL
Ringed Frauds
Phantom Passengers - Motor Only
Grossly Exaggerated Claims - both claims/costs

The team in Birmingham consists of National Head of the Claims Validation Teams, assisted by four
senior managers. There are 28 other fee earners within the team who range from NQs to fully
qualified Legal Executives. The team acts for several major Insurance Clients and are now growing a reputation for being one of the leading in the region.

Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will either be a Legal Executive or a qualified Solicitor (NQ+) with good experience in either defendant or claimant work. It is not essential to have fraud experience - extensive one to one training will be given on Fraud/
Regulatory/Conduct issues
Specific responsibilities will include:-
Handling a varied caseload of pre lit and litigated work covering the above types of claim.
Supporting the Senior Managers in the team in the more complex/larger fraud cases.
Actively assisting the team in the marketing and development of the team and growing its
presence
Excellent relationship and client handling skills. Able to deal confidently and professionally with clients on
day to day issues. Able to demonstrate a reasonable level of self-sufficiency, combined with an
awareness of the boundaries of own competence/authority.
An ability to adopt a commercial perspective
Possessing technical ability to include a thorough knowledge of coverage issues/indemnity and
working of the CPR and to have attention to detail yet be concise.
Excellent investigation skills including the ability to be probing and tenacious
