Top UK bank seeks Strategy Manager to join their in-house Strategy Team in either Bristol or London. The successful candidate will join a team that is central to the ongoing development of the bank's strategy at a time of significant change for the business, as the organisation is well positioned to build on its strengths and achieve its future plans.
As Strategy Manager you will contributing to the development and communication of the strategy, providing analysis and assessments of strategic options. You will have direct involvement in the successful delivery of specific strategic development projects that drive the medium and long term growth of the business. You will be responsible for developing financial models and providing analytical support on a project basis as well as drawing insights from data and perspectives about the relevant market, customers and products from a variety of internal and external sources. As part of the Strategy Team you will work with senior management across the business and in virtual team to support, challenge and implement the strategy, particularly with marketing and finance departments.
Who we're looking for
You will be a high achiever with financial services experience gained from management/strategy consulting or a blue chip organisation. You will:
• Have excellent financial modelling skills, be highly numerate and analytical with proven problem solving skills
• Have excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills to be able to establish effective, collaborative relationships with stakeholders across the bank and wider group
• Be a team player, but be able to work independently on projects and manage your own workload
• Be able to work to tight deadlines, balance and prioritise the ongoing project work with any new ad-hoc project requirements
• Have financial services experience in either a consulting or blue chip project based environment such as strategic planning, marketing strategy or a financial analysis unit
• Hold a numerical or business degree
Professional qualifications, such as CIMA, ACA, or an MBA would be an advantage
