The business is split into 3 divisions, North, Central and South; the vacancies currently available take care of the North and Central regions. The locations are split as follows:

North, which encompasses Scotland and the North East (40 Stores in total) and Central, which encompasses Lancashire, Manchester, Liverpool and West and East Yorkshire (60 stores in total).

The individuals will be responsible for driving and monitoring the performance of their divisions; supporting the Divisional Controller, HR managers and Regional Managers. The role will involve setting the budget, educating retail in commercial acumen, ensuring underperformance is monitored and that all stores have action plans to improve performance, enforce growth and drive improved profit. The roles will be base in Watford but will require regular weekly travel to meet field management to review performance and drive actions.

Detailed responsibilities include:

* Management Accounting - providing the monthly management information to both finance and commercial heads within the business.

* Budgeting, Forecasting and Planning - you will play a key role in planning the future of the business. This will include working with sales, marketing and operational areas of the business to analyse current performance, the assessment of future operational and commercial objectives and the formulation of the correct budgets to achieve these.

* Cost Analysis - it will be your responsibility to analyse the overheads of the organisation and identify areas of cost reduction, adding to the profitability of the business.

* Commercial Analysis - you will undertake various responsibilities and projects where you will have the opportunity to get behind the numbers and provide analysis that will directly influence business decisions and strategy.

These roles are perfect for candidates who have strong, core management accounting skills and wish to build on their commercial knowledge and exposure in a fast moving business.

Candidates may be based regionally or locally to Watford, however you will be expected to spend two to three days at Head Office per week.

Who we're looking for
Candidates must be qualified with a multi-site background (preferably in retail). You must have excellent communication skills and be confident liaising with all levels of the business.
