As Head of Compliance for this Asset Management business based in Guernsey, your responsibilities will span the following:
• Driving the Compliance agenda with the Guernsey business and assisting the Country Head of Compliance to do the same.
• Involvement in the Guernsey Compliance management structure;
• Involvement in the EMEA Compliance management structure;
• Establishment and maintenance of mutually supportive Cross-divisional relationships within Compliance;
• Oversight of the local deliverables set out in the Compliance Monitoring Programme;
• Development of the Guernsey Annual Compliance Plan;
• Participation in the annual Compliance Risk Assessment;
• Overseeing and ensuring the professional development of members of the team;
• Setting objectives for, appraising and setting appropriate levels of compensation for the members of the team;
• Registered Compliance Officer with, and principal contact of, the Guernsey Financial Services Commission in respect of relevant business in Guernsey;
• Day-to-day interaction with business heads and representation on relevant Committees; and
• Establishment and maintenance of effective relationships with the business and those within the group which use it including liaison with Swiss, EMEA and US business and support functions as required.
Who we're looking for
Interested candidates will possess:
• Extensive compliance experience in offshore financial services from within an asset or wealth management environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to liaise effectively at all levels.
