Senior Legal Advisor

The successful candidate will be a member of the project leadership team and will be responsible for providing legal advice and assurance to the JV team.
This will be an autonomous role that will largely involve:-
- ensuring legal compliance with the PMC Contract and working with the team to provide legally sound solutions in a commercial environment;
- working with the JV contracts team to ensure that the JV is managing the contacts (POs, lump sum and reimbursable EPC, engineering and consultancy contracts) in accordance their terms and providing internal advice in respect to contractual issues including claim/VO matters;
- advising on JV matters and where required drafting various contracts to ensure the provision of services by individuals and companies in various locations;
- ensuring corporate governance and compliance with the organisation'code of business conduct provide appropriate training;
- presenting commercial awareness and conduct presentations, drafting and presenting other presentations as the need arises;
- claims prevention and management.
The role could involve some travel, Qatar mostly, but also other locations from time to time
Who we're looking for
You will have strong legal and problem solving and negotiation skills whilst dealing with engineering/construction projects.
Ideally, you will havea background involving lump sum EPC and reimbursable PMC contracts in addition to claim prevention and previous management responsibilities.
Crucially you must be a team player who is confident and capable of working independently
