My client is currently looking to recruit a lawyer to join the Outsourcing, technology and Commercial Group in their NW Office.
With 12 specialist lawyers plus support from complementary practice areas, my clients team is also one of the largest. In the UK it gives national coverage from offices in London, Scotland, Manchester, Birmingham and Leeds. Internationally it covers Europe, the United States, the Far and Middle East and Hong Kong.The team advises on data protection, access rights including freedom of information, surveillance, privacy, confidentiality and identity, rights to re-use information, records compliance and related areas.

This outstanding client base comes from the entire range of organisations. The team advises both public sector and private sector bodies. In the public sector clients include government departments, NDPBs, local authorities, health trusts and regulators.The teamwork closely with the firm's other leading public sector practice areas.

In the private sector our clients include both UK based and international companies.The work encompasses all sectors and among UK clients we have particular strengths in the areas of financial services, credit and fraud agencies, direct marketing and retail organisations and IT companies.

Who we're looking for
• The ideal candidate will be newly qualified although all applicants are welcome to apply.
• The successful candidate will ideally have gained experience in a City firm or large regional practice - maybe in Manchester or beyond.
• Candidates must be technically excellent but equally important, commercially aware and enthusiastic about business development.
• They will be a team player with a strong client focussed approach.
• They will also have a strong academic background and excellent communication and organisational skills.
• An interest in Information Law is desirable but training will be provided in this specialist area.
• You will have an acute Legal mind - demonstrated with strong academics.
