Trusts Lawyer

Fiduciary Services

Isle of Man

Permanent

Updated November 7, 2008

Our client, a new and rapidly expanding fiduciary services firm attached to a multinational accounts practice, is seeking a qualified Trusts Lawyer to work alongside the firm's Directors at Senior Manager level. As this is a new role, there will be a large amount of autonomy from the start, and will require a technical focus at first. The candidate will be responsible for reviewing documents and procedures that are currently in place, and making alterations as necessary. As the role settles down, there will be more of a client-facing focus, eventually splitting into half technical and half business development. To this end, it would be desirable for the candidate to join with a portfolio of clients, although this isn't necessary. The firm offers excellent promotion possibilities, with this role expected to progress to Board level. The successful candidate should be committed to taking a leading role in the firm, and to building the business up in the offshore market.

Who we're looking for
• Qualified lawyers with background in private client and trusts structures (ideally).
• Previous offshore experience is highly desirable.
• Previous experience of working as Trust Manager/Administrator is desirable.
• Must be committed to relocating to the Isle of Man for the foreseeable future, and to settling there.

About our client
Our client is the fiduciary services arm of a leading multinational accounting firm, created 18 months ago. The firm is incredibly proud of its low turnover rate, and sees itself as offering a fantastic career and quality of life. The firm consists of over 80 employees, and represents a wide portfolio of local and international clients.

What's on offer
A competitive salary with annual performance-related bonus; 25 days holiday (with a further 11 IoM national holidays); employee pension and private healthcare; an active social and sporting committee that arranges year-round events for employees and their families. In addition, the island offers exceptionally low rates of tax and a high quality of life with low commutes, low rates of crime, and low cost of housing and rent, making it an ideal relocation option.
