Reporting to the Function Manager the Operations Manager will be responsible for c120 staff through c6 Team Managers for this large automated warehouse operation. Working on rotating shifts (6-2, 2-10) over 5 days Monday - Saturday you will be responsible for:
• Receiving, picking and despatching stock.
• Delivering the highest service level possible to stores while controlling costs.
• Controlling and managing a labour budget of c£2.5m.
• Ensuring correct staff and skill levels are maintained by driving the recruitment and training plan.

Who we're looking for
You will be ofgraduate calibre with a working knowledge of the logistics industry and management within it.
Must have:
• A working knowledge of warehousing and distribution management at a similar level.
• Excellent communication skills with experience of influencing and negotiating.
• Commercial Awareness.
• Knowledge of developing change and delivering results.
• Knowledge of financial management, budget control and resource planning at a similar level.
• Knowledge of warehouse processes and product flows.
• The ability to look and think ahead and not ignore problems.
• The ability to interpret high level data.
• The ability to resolve conflicts, maintain relationships and influence performance.
