As Project Planner you will be able to provide a plan and a programme for pre and post contract works. You will be working on projects that diversify over sectors such as; Commercial, Retail, Education, Leisure and Social Housing. Previous industry knowledge of one or more of these sectors would be beneficial. The project values will range in value from £50k to £15m.
Your key accountabilities and deliverables will be;
• Production of competitive and realistic tender plans, programmes and contract programmes.
• Attend pre-qualification interviews and presentations when required.
• Accurate assessment if site preliminaries, including cost of scaffolding, major plant, temporary electrics etc..
• Assist the site teams with contract programme with all logic links and critical path, buying, design and procurement programmes,progress reports, short term and package programmes.
Who we're looking for
The ideal Project Planner will have a background in the construction industry where they have worked within any of the sectors mentioned above and have successfully put together a programme for a contract.
You must be able to demonstrate the following skills;
• Have a thorough understanding of project, scope of works, and restrictions imposed by contractual requirements and site conditions.
• Be competent in fully briefing the project team on tender information and programme plan.
• Be able to attend pre and post tender meetings and presentations as necessary.
• Promote ideas for improving site efficiency and profitability.
