This world leading manufacturing business is looking to recruit a Financial Accountant for its UK Head Quarters based in Newport.
Our client is seeking to recruit a motivated and ambitious Accountant for a newly created financial accounting role. A technical accounting role, primary responsibilities include: producing monthly P&L trend and variance analysis; balance sheet reconciliations; ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and statutory requirements; assisting with the preparation of annual statutory accounts for three UK legal entities and tax packs; ensure tight financial controls are maintained across assigned general ledgers. Controlling the overall treasury activity of the business and looking how foreign exchange will impact on the P&L. Managing the external tax compliance and advisory service plus coordinate the overall external audit of the business
Who we're looking for
You will be qualified ACA accountant that will have trained with either a Big 4 organisation or a mid tier firm. With knowledge of both UK and US GAAP, have excellent spreadsheet skills and a sound understanding of statutory accounting regulations and financial controls. You should possess excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
