Product Developer / Merchandiser

You will be responsible for Product Development / Merchandising for this Clothing Supplier based in the South West. Your responsibilities will be:
• Devise and develop garment specs and construction details
• Assess product safety and be aware of new legislation and developments
• Work with offshore companies and factories in the development of products from initial conception to delivery
• Establish test requirements and care codes for all products
• Maintain records and sealing samples and colour control archives
• Inspect product at source and in the UK
• Obtain, monitor and evaluate cost prices
• Carry our product research and analysis
Who we're looking for
You will be have worked in a clothing background with skills in working with offshore factories, critical path management, fabric approvals, lab dips, progressing orders and supplier liaison. You must also be able to:
Travel overseas (up to 4 times per year)
Posses strong communication skills
Exceptional Attention to detail
Good IT skills (Freehand & illustrator)
Work under pressure
Good knowledge of garment design and construction
