Reporting to the Technical Operations Team Leader, the role will require the Technical Operations Consultant to liaise with clients and use their technical expertise to provide effective and timely solutions to the Implementation and Support lifecycle.
Main areas of activity:
• Concepts of Payroll Practices - UK and Eire Payroll legislation. Statutory requirements around taxation and NI
• Analysis and diagnosis of problems - Product knowledge. Problem solving skills.
• Client Liaison - Customer facing skills. Client knowledge. Conflict management.
• Supervisory and Team working - Leadership.
• System Implementations and Change Management - Understanding of capabilities of products. Knowledge of 3rd party interrogation tools. Understanding of implementation project life cycle.
• On-going development of professional competencies - Creativity. Statutory Knowledge.
• Support to internal departments
• Maintain work recording system - Knowledge of time recording systems.
• Understanding Business Environment - Understanding of data centre set up. Testing skills.
• Resource Management - Leadership. People skills.
• Revenue Maximisation - Understands client revenue streams. Understands business revenue and cost targets.
• Recommends Process Improvements - Business standards and change management processes.
• Client Training and Documentation -Training and Presentation skills.
• Project Management - Project management methodologies, practices and tools.
Who we're looking for
Desired skill set:
• A track record in help desk duties and customer management.
• Proven problem solving skills
• A professional qualification in IT and / or Payroll would be desirable.
• The ability to fulfil the main areas listed above.
