Lead MI Analyst

This leading financial services organisation based in Edinburgh currently requires a Lead HR MI Analyst to join one of their business divisions. The main purpose of this role is to provide comprehensive and accurate people information, fundamental in allowing HR to contribute effectively to the overall strategy and direction of the business.

Reporting to the Divisional Manager you will operate at a Senior level within the MI team, managing a team of 6 Analysts. Core deliverables of the role will be:

• Develop the production of regular and ad hoc reports in line with the agreed reporting schedule for the team and ensure they are to the standard required.
• Manage the distribution of work amongst the team and monitor their progress.
• Ensure consistent application of reports across business areas.
• Build relationships with customers and senior stakeholders internally, ensuring you understand their requirements.
• Take the lead in presenting back key analysis and trends to the business.
• Obtain feedback from customers and stakeholders to ensure that reports, processes and services meet customer needs.
• Support the creation of new operational processes which meet changing HR and business needs and encourage continuous improvement.
• Provide operations support to internal business development projects.

Who we're looking for
You must be an experienced MI Analyst with a proven background in the provision of MI reports and relating data and trends back to the business. It would be beneficial if your experience is from financial services, however candidates with experience from a fast-paced blue chip organisation will also be considered.

You must have strong analytical and quantitative skills and have experience in optimising the business use of information management tools and applications. You must have strong stakeholder management experience and be comfortable with building relationships internally. It is essential that you have team management experience.

You must be technically competent with all MS Office applications, especially Excel and Access, and it would be desirable if you have experience of any of the following: Business Objects, SAS, Crystal Reports, Visual Basic, PeopleSoft, A2L or HTML.
