1. Responsibility for financial strategy and planning, monitoring, management and reporting, including management and development of policies, systems, processes and personnel to supportthe charitiescontinued growth
2. Establish and maintain clear management information and reporting systems for measuring key aspects of organisational performance and to give effective support to operational staff
3. Ensure that the reporting and accounting conforms to all regulatory and legal requirements including the annual report and accounts.
4. Management of financial staff including motivation, training, recruitment and selection.
5. Work with the Chief Executive and the Chief Operating Officer to plan and implement the charity's business plan
6. Responsible for arranging suitable company insurance, contracts and agreements
7. Responsible for overseeing the suitability of IT systems in co-operation with external IT advisors
8. Address the environmental impact ofthecharitieswork, carry out environmental audit and recommend measures to minimise this impact.
9. Ensure that H&S function is carried out effectively
10. Ensure that 'Company Secretary' responsibilities are carried out
Who we're looking for
1. Experience of developing and implementing an financial systems for a rapidly growing small business
2. Excellent project management skills including planning, organising and prioritising tasks for self and team
3. Ability to create and maintain effective reporting and performance measurement systems
4. Sound understanding of the challenges involved in assuring quality in the delivery of services
5. Sound analytical skills, both written and numerical
6. Ability to communicate effectively with a geographically dispersed team and with outside stakeholders
7. Understanding of organisational development, change and motivation including quality management
8. Excellent skills in relation to budgeting and resource planning

Time Commitment:
1.5 days per week
Salary:
£45,000 per annum or £13,500 per annum pro rata plus 8% pension contribution on confirmation of appointment
Holiday Entitlement:
25 days per annum or 7.5 days pro rata
