A role has arisen in Group Taxation for a Tax Analyst to assist in the compilation of the UK R&D tax credits claim. This is a unique opportunity to realise significant business benefits by working in a special unit within Group Taxation department. The analyst will work under the direction of a tax manager in a team of four and work closely with the business units (senior management in finance, technical, commercial and legal departments) in order to maximise the value of the R&D claim to the Group.
The analyst will interview technical staff in order to gain an understanding of their activities so as to permit an assessment to be made as to whether the activity is R&D, document the tax technical aspects of the business units' R&D and prepare detailed analyses of the cost data to support the claim in order to ensure that the claim submission and supporting paperwork satisfy the qualifying requirements set out by HMRC.
