Interim UK Tax Manager

This is an exciting senior tax role which offers the scope to help shape the tax strategy for this leading project engineering firm. The International Group Tax Manager will have responsibility for group tax matters in direct tax, VAT, Irish tax and some international tax responsibilities. This role will offer the flexibility to work 3 to 5 days per week

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
• Transfer pricing, start-up and mobilisation project liability analysis
• Corporate Tax liabilities for all Group companies, Irish companies and control of tax return process in other Group companies.
• Year end corporation tax strategy & UK VAT issues re. invoicing and returns
• Irish VAT issues re. invoicing and returns
• Inland Revenue investigations into previous years tax returns
• Corporation tax issues and payments
• Quarterly reporting of tax packages
• Group tax planning and tax review of business requirements
• Responsible for potential engagements with professional advisers on tax matters and relevant costs.

Who we're looking for

We are looking for an experienced International Corporate Tax Manager with strategic level experience in corporate Tax matters. You will have the gravitas to influence and implement tax savings across the UK and Internationally. The role will also involve working with bid & pricing project teams, on a consultative basis, on tenders, ad-hoc projects and transaction tax requirements to help minimise business risk and tax spend in these areas. You should be CA/CTA qualified with excellent communication and organisational skills and you will relish the challenge to work autonomously to drive the tax function forward.

What's on offer
Salary scale is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum depending on experience (pro-rata if less than 5 days per week) flexible benefits & working hours for the successful candidate
