Snr Consultant - Corporate Responsibility

This role is a key post within the small Marketplace team with this business-led charity with several hundred members. The post holder will be the lead subject expert on the subject of market/industry responsibility and will work with member companies to challenge and support procurement departments on how to integrate social, environmental and economic considerations.

Specific duties for theSenior Consultantinclude:

• To provide analysis and commentary around industry and related issues to the benefit of members

• Research and keep up to date company information and knowledge about responsible supply chain management processes and practices

• Provide training in line with the consultancy training course and approach for procurement and CSR professionals

• Organise events for members to increase understanding of responsible supply chain issues procurement and CSR professionals

• Support the provision of advisory services to members on supply chain practices

• Proactively market services to members and developments from the campaign

• Promote the consultancies perspective in debates that may help to influence perspectives by decision makers and media

• Manage relationships with key external organisations and internal account managers

• Build capacity and understanding of staff internally within the consultancy on responsible supply chain management. Manage and support initiatives with other consultancy campaigns where industry is a cross cutting theme

• Support the promotion of the Marketplace Responsibility Principles

• Manage the running of the responsible marketing award, including all aspects of sponsorship, dealing with stakeholders, marketing the award to potential entrees, and writing up case studies

• Other reasonable duties requested





Who we're looking for
Essential Skills and Experience

A degree level of education along with:-

• Proven track record of working within and leading with a corporate environment dealing with issues around responsible industry/supply chain management

• Good understanding of broader issues around corporate responsibility and business practice

• Experience of carrying out research projects and producing written reports

• Confident verbal communicator

• Self-motivated and able to manage own time to be able to deliver results effectively and consistently

• Committed to working within an equal opportunities environment


Desirable Skills and Experience
• Training and / or experience of carrying out training

• Experience of producing consultancy proposals and providing advisory services - whether in CSR or another field
