The role of In-house commercial lawyer will involve working as a member of the Legal Department - to provide the widest range of legal advice and support to divisional management in corporate and commercial transactions. To cover business acquisitions and disposals, transport services supply agreements, computer software licensing arrangements and property transactions. To assist, as necessary, the Company Secretariat in the PLC headquarters based near Bath

Who we're looking for
The In-house commercial lawyer will be expected to:
• Provide legal advice to staff across the Group on commercial issues generally.
• Prepare and advise on warehousing/transport/other services agreements.
• Advise on software licensing agreements of various kinds and intellectual property issues generally.
• Give legal advice on business sale or purchase transactions.
• Contribute legal input as a member of a project team on the development of automated warehouse and other construction projects.
• Assist the Group Secretariat in relation to regulatory and other administration matters.
• Attend any relevant training sessions to ensure you are fully equipped to perform your role effectively.
• To undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required for the effective operation of the function

Our client is a UK listed plc with a fantastic record of achievement. The legal team consists of 4 lawyers and a company secretary who work out of the excellent UK headquarters
