You will be responsible for the implementation and management of the company's quality policy and insure compliance of the ISO standards are maintained to client requirements and satisfaction. You will be familiar with QA audits and have an instinctive approach to procedures and methods which comply with ISO standards and TS16949.
Your responsibilities will also include problem solving, investigation and reporting through FMEA and analysis, corrective action using 8D formatting along with regular customer and supplier visits and audits to ensure effective supply and quality of delivery. You will jointly be involved with a quality awareness programme coupled with production and enforce throughout the site. Basic quality tools and programmes such as calibration of equipment, policies and systems will fall under your control.
Who we're looking for
This position demands a candidate with a good understanding of the automotive industry in general. You will be a hands on type of person who is a doer and not just a talker. A strong understanding of quality tools is required in order to hit the ground running and make an impact. You will be the type of character to back up your department and be outspoken as well as be someone who pushes your ideas forward. You must possess strong relationship building skills in order to work effectively with the production department and customers and suppliers.
Pullmaflex require a good level of education ideally degree qualified plus a relevant qualification in a mechanical / engineering field. Ideally you will have a long term background in quality management and in the Automotive or Aerospace industry with a strong understanding of TPM, Kaizen, Six Sigma, SMED and 5S quality systems. This position requires an individual with strong man management skills and a strong effective communicator as you will be dealing with employees at all levels within the business.
