The main responsibilities within the role of Quality Manager are;
• Quality Assurance team leadership and performance management of quality professionals.
• Contract Review
• Repair and overhaul technical support including:
1. Product investigation and release
2. Quality plans
3. Key Characteristics
4. Product and process verification audits
5. Compliance issues
6. Quality risks and mitigation
7. Failure Review Boards and analysis
8. FAI activity
9. Product Conformity
• Customer-related activity including:
1. Support for customer audits and reviews
2. Liaison with government and regulatory representatives, including crash investigation
3. Customer Liaison and technical presentation lead or support

Who we're looking for
The Quality Manager will work for a large Aerospace company based in the Midlands and ideally have the following qualifications/requirements:
• Engineering or Business qualification - minimum Higher National Diploma of Ordinary Degree or equivalent
• Working Knowledge of AS9110 and EASA145, ITAR restrictions and shipping requirements
• Aerospace industry backgroundis essential
• IQA membership is desirable

The desired characteristics of the Quality Manager are;

• Maturity, Integrity and Credibility at all levels
• Communication skills in all forms of media
• Willing to step outside the QA function to work with internal and external customers, on their terms
• Attention to Detail
• Personal flexibility and objectivity
