• At the heart of the business, the Press Relations Manager designs and implement strategies in order to build the profile ofthe Investment bankingproducts & services, people, deals and achievements.
• With direct access to regional heads and responsibility for a specific set of business lines, the Press Relations Manager uses all channels such as press relations, sponsored articles, roundtables, and pitching for awards to build the business image of the firm with media and connex bodies.
• Working in an international Media Relations team and a European environment, the Press Relations Manager craft messages, press releases, events and pitches in order to help the business achieve its goals.
• With the ability to understand the corporate and investment banking products & services, the Marketing-Press Relations Manager is the main interface between our spokespeople and journalists (print, wires, TV etc).
• Very good writing skills required.

• Know business line and corporate strategy so as to carve key messages as appropriate
• Build media programmes and plans; monitor & evaluate, provide feedback to management, implement adjustment and success assessment
• Advise business lines on appropriate strategy with media
• Build relationship with editors and journalists to maintain/increase profile of the organisation
• Determine topics for media roundtables and interviews - organise them accordingly
• Write and issue press releases.
• Pitch for awards, forward features, special issues and other platforms that can boost the profile of the business lines and position our clientas a bank of reference in its areas of excellence.
• Arranges entertainment and social events to foster relationships between spokespersons and journalists.
• Propose and organise media training for spokespersons
• Advise spokespersons on topics, approach, messages and strategy with the media
• Handle media calls and determine best course of action
• Seeks to rectify inaccurate or erroneous statement about the company if appropriate.
• Co-manage the UK PR agency
• No positions reporting into this role.
• Responsible for adherence to business strategy and positioning in the context of media relations.
• Responsible for ensuring that spokespersons are aware of corporate guidelines regarding dealings with the press

Who we're looking for
Education
• University educated
Past Experience<BR>• Experience in Marketing, Media Relations, Press Relations or Journalism
