Planner Vendor Scheduler

To interpret JDE in order to specify and execute optimal production plans for a given group of production lines. These plans will be agreed with the Production Teams in order to maximise customer service and production efficiency. To work closely with suppliers to ensure raw material / component availability and optimal stockholding.
• Produce and administer a sequenced weekly production plan
• Produce an optimised medium term manufacturing plan (13 wks)
• Tailor all plans to consider available capacity, line efficiency and cost
• Liaise with Customer Service Manager to understand and meet market needs
• Communicate component requirements to suppliers to ensure on time delivery.
• Develop close, working supplier relationships in order to improve vendor performance and reduce inventory holding.
• Initiate, implement inventory control and reduction projects
• Manage new product introduction and graphic change projects
• To administer and deliver dept KPI's (eg IRA)
• To carry out any other duties as may be reasonably requested

Who we're looking for
This role would suit a graduate or equivalent, who has a proven track record within an FMCG manufacturing company specifically with a production planning background.The successful candidate must demonstrate the following competencies .

• Consumer / Customer Orientation - Strong focus on customer service & Kaizen approach to maximising service levels and understanding the market needs

• Decision Making - Ability to make timely decisions based on logical assumptions, factual information & consideration of resources, constraints & organisation values

• Planning & Organising - Ability to plan, prioritise & organise work & resources appropriate to requirements. Effectively adapt to change in work situations, taking initiative to ensure clear, timely & well executed action

• Teamwork -A proven track record of working as part of a multifunctional team

• Interpersonal Communication - Ability to network & build effective working relationships with people within & external to the organisation at all levels. Ability to challenge & influence people when necessary
