This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to jointhe Buying team as a Buyer, reporting directly into the Own Brand Team Leader. The successful candidate will be responsible for our Corporate Social Responsible buying, focusing on Own Brand products.
The main responsibilities of this role are:
To achieve cost targets as laid out in the Business Plan
The development and implementation of a Corporate SocialStrategy
The development and introduction of exciting and innovative new products
To develop effective and productive working relationships with cross functional teams such as merchandising and marketing
To actively engage and support our retail store teams to resolve issues and improve sales
To take a proactive position in working closely with our supply and logistics teams to ensure efficient management of our stock file
To build and develop strong and productive relationships with our suppliers
Who we're looking for
You will currently be workingwithin a retail head office environment and likely to be looking for your first career move and will be of graduate calibre. You will have excellent negotiation and numeracy skills, strong commerciality and will have a demonstrable track record ofsuccess in your category. Based in the North West or willing to relocate you will be an authority in your sector and you will posses the creativity and ambition to produce the results required.
