My management consulting client seeks individuals with a proven track record in the Defence industry to take on senior / management level roles in our public sector business consulting practice. Business consultants work closely with clients in solving strategic, process, information or organisational issues critical to the organisation.
You must have excellent client-facing skills and will be expected to have held management-level roles in a business consulting environment or very similar.
You will both have a good understanding of the theory of business transformation through strategy or project consulting and have practical experience. This will have involved working closely with senior managers within client organisations.The roles that we expect our senior business consultants to be able to undertake include.

• Shaping and managing business consulting engagements;
• Managing senior level client relationships on a day to day basis;
• Leading business teams of consultants;
• Managing procurements, business change projects and the business side of IT-enabled change projects on behalf of clients;
• Identifying new and expanded opportunities from their work with clients;
• Leading bids in the general area of business consulting and business transformation;
• Presenting proposals or advice to board level clients;
• Coaching and supporting the development of junior business consulting staff;
• Contributing to the development of new propositions and approaches

Who we're looking for
Individuals are expected to have experience of most or all of the following disciplines within the Home Land/Law Enforcement & Central Government sector and preferably central government departments:
Defining and shaping multimillion pound businesses and/or IT projects including project briefs etc;
• Preparing business cases, including particularly quantitative assessment of the benefits and costs of options to the requirements of the HM Treasury Green Book;
• OGC Gateway reviews;
• Project planning, costing and estimating;
• Business process mapping, modelling and re-engineering;
• Requirement management from definition to acceptance;
• Business and systems analysis;
• Project and programme management for major business and/or IT projects;
• Security clearance desirable
• You must have a 2:1 degree or above
