Strategic Bid Manager

Public Sector Construction

Thames Valley

Permanent ⁄ £70000 - £100000

You will be responsible for researching new markets within the public sector construction environment and advising at Board Level as to new opportunities for business growth. With a proven track record of leading successful bids to financial close, ideally within the PFI construction arena, you will be responsible for realising these potential business streams into actual ventures for the company.

Your duties will include:
• Marketing the organisation
• Overseeing the prequalification process
• Liaising with stakeholders, taking lead with discussions
• Leading the consortium in discussions with clients
• Project managing the consortium bid team
• Co-ordinating and managing consortium advisors including legal and financial advisors
• Lead the bid to a financial close

Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will have high level experience working within a front end role for a main contractor. You will already have strategic input into company direction and have a proven track record within large public sector bids for PFI and Framework agreements. Ideally from a Surveying, Estimating, Design or Operations background the ideal candidate will demonstrate the following key skills:
• A successful track record of winning and/or executing projects
• Experience of managing a multi-disciplinary team
• High level of commercial awareness
• Project management skills
• Presentation skills
• Good communicator
