Production Manager

As part of the senior management team, the purpose of this role is to lead, manage and control the primary production facility on site comprising a total of up to 280 reports led through a team of shift managers and team leaders running a 24 hour operation. Responsibility will include driving forward production performance through effective development of staff and ensuring that a world class manufacturing culture is maintained and improved upon. Beyond production this role is also accountable for achieving key plant requirements in safety, quality, delivery, cost and human resources.

Who we're looking for
Ideally degree educated, you will have proven success in Manufacturing/Operations Management within a modern manufacturing environment. You will also have a demonstrable track record of making operational improvements through others in a world class manufacturing arena. Your understanding of implementing KPI's to monitor production performance will be key, in order to facilitate improvements, and a sound grasp on lean manufacturing will be essential in order to raise the bar on what is essentially an environment akin to the automotive industry. Equally important is a first class people manager who can adopt an open, approachable and straight-talking approach in line with the culture of the business.
