Costing and Pricing Accountant

As part of an ever evolving area of the education sector the role of the Costing and Pricing Accountant is as varied as it is exciting. The focus of this post is to improve the understanding of the cost of the various activities undertaken by the University to ensure that the University adopts a pricing policy that maximises revenue.

As an integral element to this commercial drive you will be required to develop and maintain a resource allocation model for University activities while preparing the annual Transparent Approach to Costing (TRAC) returns.

The role focuses on understanding and reviewing the cost drivers within the University and using this information to advise the faculties on their various costs. This extends to assisting the Research and Business Development Office on the costing and pricing of income generating projects while providing advice on costing for tenders for new business ensuring a customer focused approach is adhered to.

Who we're looking for
The right candidate will be a degree educated CCAB part qualified accountant with experience in either Higher Education or a professional firm. You will also have experience in the following areas:

Resource allocation models
Costing and pricing issues
Dealing with a wide range of people from a variety of levels
