A fantastic opportunity to join this major Oil & Gas company as an M&A Portfolio Project Manager based is the London Corporate Consultancy team. Our client is one of the best known players in the energy market and as a result they participate in or initiate billions of dollars worth of merger and acquisition projects every year. Based in the downstream part of the business, this Portfolio team are responsible for acquisitions, divestments and new market entries across all classes of business.
As an M&A Portfolio Project Manager you will be setting up, leading and participating in project teams through all stages of transactions. You will be required to lead and coach a high performing team. This will include managing the due diligence process alongside functional experts that you bring on board. You will be analysing and testing options for the deal structure, leading the negotiation process and mediating issues. A large part of the role will require you to understand the market and study potential buyers and sellers.
Who we're looking for
Successful candidates will:
• have previous M&A experience including negotiation experience - from either industry (not necessarily energy related) or management consultancy
• M&A experience should include critical path analysis, risk assessment, project planning and negotiation skills
• be highly commercially astute
• have excellent analytical skills
• have proven experience in hands-on delivery
• he highly skilled at time management
• willingness to travel
