The role of engineering buyer will predominantly buy the raw materials for the components that are manufactured on site and inour clientsoverseas site. You will have the ability to read detailed specifications and BOMs and be able to purchase quality materials effectively and efficiently using best practice procurement. You will carry out supplier rating and analysis: suggesting and providing solutions to any supplier weaknesses. You will be able to source new suppliers when necessary. You will be an excellent negotiator: confident in negotiating price as well as terms and conditions
Who we're looking for
You will be a good communicator, being able to communicate on all levels and with other countries. You will be well, organised and be able to manage a global supplier base. You will ideally have a background within the automotive industry. You will have the self discipline and motivation to work on your own projects, but bean excellent team player assisting other members of the team and working with internal and external customers. You will be CIPs qualified, working towards or be prepared to study for the qualification.
