ROLE JUST IN:
This is an opportunity to join a leading law firm's Construction Team at an exciting time in the its history. The firm provides advice and services to both multi-national and SME clients, operating across a broad range of disciplines. They are well known and have built a reputation for providing an innovative and high quality service.
The work will be a mix of the following, however it is predominantly non-contentious.
• Arbitration, adjudication and litigation in connection with construction and engineering projects including loss and expense and extension of time claims.
• Construction and engineering related development and funding agreements.
• Grant agreements.
• Drafting and negotiating amendments to construction and engineering standard forms.
• Drafting and negotiating bespoke building and engineering contracts, bonds, warranties, guarantees, professional appointments, novations and similar.
• PFI documents including, in particular, building contracts, interface agreements, direct agreements and other documents as referred to above.
• Professional negligence claims associated with construction and engineering projects.
Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will be an established associate solicitor with a demonstrable track record in both contentious and non-contentious construction work. Expertise of dealing with a variety of clients, including funders, employers, professionals, developers, contractors, public authorities, SPVs, claimants and respondents is essential.
In addition, the role holder will be expected to play a full role as a member of the Construction Team, including fee-earning, strategic planning, business development, and staff training and development.
