• To provide suitable methods, processes and instructions for the manufacture of products to meet requirements of safety, quality, productivity and cost.
• To represent the Manufacturing Cell as a member of the design team for new products, with specific responsibility for materials supply and manufacturability of the product.
• To promote a right first time culture by using problem solving and continuous improvement techniques and by addressing customer complaints.
• To manage programmes for change and continuous improvement.
• To produce assembly planning documents as required for all stages of the assembly process.
• To maintain and support the equipment and tooling in use in the assembly sections and ensure that downtime is minimised.
Who we're looking for
• Engineering qualification.
• Desktop CAD packages.
• Electro-mechanical background in manufacturing or development.
• Familiarity with writing specifications, procedures and instructions.
