• Analyse and report performance of capital and revenue expenditure against budget and ensure effective monitoring and cost control over projects and activities.
• Maintain key controls and ensure adherence to UK GAAP and the company accounting policies and procedures.
• Contribute to the commercial planning and budgeting processes.
• Contribute to the identification of business risks and opportunities.
• Prepare business and financial cases for service and/or investment proposals & ensure that local Manpower Plans are reconciled to financial systems on an on going basis.
• Contribute to the financial support of the project

Who we're looking for
• Commercially orientated, qualified or part qualified accountant, with experience in a number of different roles within a finance function. If part qualified Ideally still training to become fully qualified accountant.
• Ability to make sound commercial judgements.
• Proven ability to develop effective links between a division and group finance.
The following personal qualities are essential in the role:
• High levels of personal credibility, professionalism and integrity.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with an ability to build and manage relationships across the company at all levels but providing robust challenge when required.
• Someone with energy and drive with a balanced approach to work. Able to overcome obstacles and motivated by achieving stretching objectives.
• Have a fully involved, proactive style. Able to deliver results and take the initiative in solving problems.
