We are looking for an experienced Production Planner to drive change in a complex automotive assembly and manufacturing environment. Applicants will have demonstrable experience of implementing robust planning systems in an automotive or general manufacturing environment. An excellent knowledge of MRP combined with experience of supply chain planning techniques is beneficial. The role involves identifying bottlenecks within the process, highlighting areas for improvement whilst working with the production team to generate results. Clear communication skills and the ability to influence internal stakeholders at all levels will be vital. Responsibilities include generating a vigorous production plan to allow efficient sequencing of parts so that stock levels can be reduced and build rate can be increased. The role is key to my clients business and will provide the link between production and planning.

Who we're looking for
You will be an existing production planning professional with experience of working preferably within a general manufacturing or automotive environment. The ideal candidate will be educated to a minimum of HNC level and will have demonstrable experience of working autonomously. The successful applicant will display the ability to drive change whilst being able to demonstrate a 'hands on' style building a strong team ethic over the assembly areas of my client's site. Excellent organisational capabilities as well as the ability to work under pressure and on your own initiative are essential to this role.
