Senior Buyer

Electronics Manufacturer

This is an exciting time to join a market leader in it's field, now pioneering and pushing the boundaries of technology our client has the need for an experienced senior buyer with an electronics focus to join the team. Our client is transitioning from research and development into manufacturing.
• You will be responsible for purchasing electronic and mechanical components and sub-assemblies.
• Managing sub-contract manufacturers to ensure on time delivery, correct quality and quantity.
• Developing relationships in the market place with component and sub assembly suppliers.
• Inventory control of all onsite raw materials, ensuring cost effective levels and seamless supply into production.
• Ensure that all components meet relevant quality and legal requirements (ROHS) and that suitable paperwork is maintained.
• You will be expected to setup procurement systems within the business.

Who we're looking for
• You will be degree qualified in a technical subject, preferably with an electronics bias in engineering.
• You will have gained experience in purchasing within a technical environment, where you will be used to interacting with technical experts and designers.
• You will be able to demonstrate you can take lead in supplier negotiations.
• You will be highly computer literate.
• You will be experienced in working in a small company culture, with a hands on approach.
• You will understand stock control systems, safety stock levels and supplier lead times.

About our client
Our client is a technology based company with innovative designs leading in it's field. Currently a small team of 15 people and established for 6 years they are now looking to take their already successful product to the market on a larger scale.

What's on offer
£30,000 to £40,000 + up to 10% bonus, PHI.
