Job Role
The job holder provides technical treasury accounting expertise for the Group Treasury according to International Accounting Standards. They ensure accurate and timely accounting, as well as correct budgeting / forecasting for our clients Treasury entities and act as the key contact for Treasury entities and Group Reporting.
- Review and approval of treasury results on a monthly basis, including interest rate and cross-currency swaps, debt portfolio, interest positions and foreign exchange results for the companies Treasury entities
- Ensure compliance of treasury results, Group Reporting guidelines and Sarbanes-Oxley
- Provide treasury accounting expertise and act as a centre of excellence for implementation of new instruments or hedging strategies and analyse implications for the financial result either at unit or group level
- Provide monthly treasury accounting summary to certain affiliates of the group
- Review and approve treasury information for completion of statutory accounts for treasury vehicles
- Review of qualitative and quantitative analysis of monthly treasury management reports
- Maintain appropriate accounting and control procedures for treasury accounting & reporting
- Review and validate monthly treasury overhead analysis and accruals
Coordinate, review and monitor qualitative analysis and treasury related notes disclosed in the financial report and 20F at year-end
- Oversee the treasury accountant's work and act as back-up
Who we're looking for
- Bachelors degree in accounting with treasury accounting experience. Additional qualification as C.P.A. would be a plus
- Strong, solid knowledge and expertise in IAS39 and IFRS7
- Experience of Quantum Treasury management system (Sungard)
- Solid knowledge in derivative instruments and interest in global financial markets
- Ability to perform technical analysis and cumulate the work comprehensively in a technical position paper
- Self motivated and able to identify and resolve issues
- Organisational skills, including strong time management and proven ability to deliver results against deadlines
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Solid teamwork and communication skills
