You will come into the business with the aim of supporting the Head of Management Accounts in all areas of management accounts production. This excellent trainee role will give you exposure to both the finance and operations departments, and you will be responsible for supporting the operations cost centres through the review of actual results as well as assisting in the preparation of forecasts and budgets. At month end, you will examine costs and look closely at sales variances.
In order to achieve your targets, you will be required to maintain and develop relationships with the operations departments, as well as dealing with the internal and external auditors. However, you will be supported throughout the entire process, and will require the training necessary in order for you to eventually complete these tasks and others on your own.
Who we're looking for
You will ideally have a degree of exposure to working in an accounts department, perhaps as a ledger clerk, and you will have a good academic background. You will be keen ton continue your studies, and will ideally be at foundation level CIMA. You will also possess excellent IT skills (Excel, Access etc) and knowledge of MFGPRO / Hyperion would be advantageous but is by no means essential.
