Interim Transport Planner

Distribution Centre

Northampton

Temp ⁄ circa £21,000 pro rata

Reporting to the Depot Manager, the successful candidate will ensure that the fleet is being operated to maximise profit, achieving budgeted revenue and cost targets whilst ensuring that the vehicles are being operated within the current company policy and legislative frameworks.

The job holder will maintain the highest levels of customer service with regard to collection and delivery times, timeliness and accuracy of communications.

Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will:-

• hold a current CPC (CPC I desirable),
• have experience of working in a traffic scheduling environment
• have a good understanding of WTD and Drivers Hours Regulations
• be IT literate - Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
• have a proactive and enthusiastic approach to problem solving
• have good communication, presentation and organisational skills
• have a good working knowledge of Health and Safety, Environmental, Quality Systems and appropriate legislation
