Your key responsibilities will include:

• Establish, manage and monitor the substantive audit plan for the 800 centres across all Regions in England.
• Manage the contract management of the two national audit firms to ensure adherence both in terms of cost and deliverables.
• Oversee the production of risk assessments and the production and distribution of audit samples, known error details and extrapolation spreadsheets to the auditors and the funding audit team as required. This is to ensure that audit work is completed as planned and results in reliable funding adjustment figures.
• Liaising with external auditors to ensure that the output of each year's substantive funding audit is accurate, consistent and provides sufficient assurance to support an unqualified annual audit opinion in the annual accounts.
• Design and develop systems to enable effective planning and reporting within the Funding Audit team.

Who we're looking for
I am looking for a qualified CIMA / ACCA / ACA accountant for maternity cover for a period of six to nine months.
