This broad role will support the Marketing Communications Manager by working predominantly in e-communications and events. This role offers the right candidate opportunity to develop their skills in e-content management, writing and proofing marketing copy, running events and internal communications.

In particular to be responsible for:
o Updating the website and working with the Marketing Communications Manager to manage and plan content
o Updating and improving the intranet and general internal communications projects
o Helping to write and proof copy
o Assisting in the management of events

This role will liaise with senior colleagues.

This role will require that processes, instructions and policies are followed/improved and that tasks and projects are completed to schedule.

Who we're looking for
Required skills and experience:
o Previous experience of working in a marketing team
o Previous experience in updating websites/intranets with content
o Experience in assisting events
o An understanding of the basic principals of event organisation such as managing delegate registration, ensuring AV/presentations work, understanding the importance of event monitoring and analysis
o Experience in or keen to learn about proofing and writing copy for websites and marketing literature
o Able to multi-task and prioritise
o Able to be thorough in following processes and systems
o Have good attention to detail
o Able to work with senior members of staff in a friendly, professional and pro-active manner
o Excellent IT skills: intermediate/advanced Microsoft package including Work, Excel and PowerPoint
o A good level of spelling, grammar and punctuation
o Excellent telephone manner
o Enthusiastic, pro-active with a solutions approach to managing problems
o A general understanding of marketing and communications
