Management Accountant

This role has an interesting amount of variety together with the regular Management Accounting responsibilities.
Aspects of the role include amongst others the following:
• Provide full range of financial advice and support to budget holders and other operational managers
• Assist in management of centralised accounting system
• Line management of staff
• Responsibility for the effective administration of finance ledgers through monitoring of controls and procedures
• Hold monthly meetings with service heads to discuss budget position and agree action plans where required
• Take a lead on specific projects as required
• Production of statutory accounts, completion of regulatory returns and the modelling of long term business plans

Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will be Qualified or Passed Finalist in one of the following professional qualifications: CIMA; CIPFA; ACCA; ACA.
You will have a positive attitude to work and play and enjoy meeting demanding deadlines in a pro-active atmosphere of teamwork. You will enjoy a challenge and be able to prioritise and manage your own workload.
Ideally you would have experience in the sector but this is not essential and it is most important that you have Management Accounting experience are flexible, able to manage a range of tasks and meet targets.
You should have the following characteristics:
• Supportive of colleagues
• Experience of staff management
• Commitment to the principle of a service led accounting function
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience of Management Accounting
